Preserve the Sacred Kavus
Help protect and restore the seven ancient Sarpa groves for future generations
Why Kavu Preservation Matters
The seven sacred Sarpa Kavus are not merely temple property—they are the living homes of the naga deities, the very foundation of this ancient shrine's spiritual power. Without these Kavus, the temple loses its essence.
For generations, these sacred groves have provided shelter to the Divine Nagas, acting as portals where devotees' prayers directly reach the serpent deities. But decades of neglect, natural degradation, and the pressures of modern development have threatened their integrity.
Our mission is urgent and clear: Restore all seven Kavus to their pristine sacred condition before it's too late. This requires replanting native trees, creating protective boundaries, conducting purification rituals, and establishing permanent maintenance systems.
The Challenge We Face
Natural Degradation
Over decades, many native sacred trees have died or been damaged. Invasive species have taken over. The natural canopy that once sheltered the Kavus has thinned significantly, reducing their spiritual potency.
Development Pressure
Surrounding land development and construction threaten the boundaries of several Kavus. Without clear demarcation and protective walls, encroachment becomes an ongoing risk.
Maintenance Needs
Sacred groves require ongoing care—regular pujas, cleaning, preventing unauthorized entry, and ensuring the sanctity is maintained. This requires dedicated resources and manpower.
Spiritual Renewal
Each restored Kavu requires elaborate purification rituals, reinstallation of sacred energies, and continuous worship to maintain its spiritual power as a home for nagas.

What Your Support Achieves
Shankarodath Kavu Restoration
Completed 2023
Through devotee contributions, we successfully restored the main Shankarodath Kavu— planting 250 native trees, constructing protective walls, and conducting elaborate purification ceremonies. The Kavu is now thriving with renewed spiritual energy.
Gau Shala (Cow Shelter)
Ongoing Project
Through Gau-daanam contributions, we now maintain 8 cows providing fresh milk for daily abhishekams and poojas. The Go Shala has become self-sustaining, with excess milk distributed free to poor families in surrounding villages.
Free Services Fund
Annual Program
Monthly supporter contributions enable us to provide free poojas to economically disadvantaged devotees who cannot afford ritual costs but desperately need spiritual help. Over 500 devotees served annually.
Every Contribution Makes a Difference
Whether you adopt a Kavu, donate a cow, or contribute ₹1,000—every offering helps preserve this ancient sacred tradition for future generations. The nagas bless those who protect their homes.
